Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN DEAN CARMICHAEL
Extremely hardworking, deeply loyal, always helpful and consistently kind. That’s how we would describe our father, Alan Dean Carmichael, who passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 70.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barb; sons, Denis (Janine) and their children, Avia and Everly, and Steven (Jenn and her son Miles); sister Claire Carmichael (Larry Brandt), and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Alison, as well as his brother Ian.
An employee of Piston Ring for more than 40 years, Dad loved to cheer for the Winnipeg Jets and the Blue Bombers. He adored Mom and bought her flowers every week of their marriage.
Our family would like to thank the staff in the palliative care unit at St. Boniface Hospital. We will be gathering for a private Celebration of Life later. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.

To all the Carmichael Family: I am so sorry to hear about Alan. Though Alan was older and as kids that makes a huge difference, he was just a great kid. A solid friend, always kind and nice to talk to. Long ago at the WWC we all knew each other, as our mothers, Alison and Donna, were amazing friends sharing some great adventures in the skating world. Our parents also socialized together, playing Bridge at the Carmichael home and having dinners out and at the Macaw home. So we would see each other at the WWC doing what kids then did. I will always remember Alan Fondly. - Posted by: Sidney Q Macaw (family friend) on: Apr 13, 2024
