It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David (Dave) on April 8, 2024, at the age of 80.
He is survived by his children Peter and William.
David was born in London, Ontario but found home in Winnipeg, MB. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 16. Later he began his professional career at the Hudson’s Bay Company in Downtown Winnipeg. His interests were home renovations and fishing. He spent several years as a volunteer with Scouts Canada. He was also an active member and past director for the Winnipeg Amateur Radio Club.
David was an adventurous soul who lived a full and rich life. He brightened the lives of those around him with his strength of character and love. David effortlessly made friends with everyone he met.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.

I was genuinely sad to hear of Dave's passing. VE4DTF was a man I considered a friend. We spoke on the radio and worked the Marathon together for a couple of years.
