ETHEL BAILEY
With gratitude for her life and deep sadness for her loss in our lives, we announce that Ethel went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She is survived by her daughter Ingrid Labossiere; her son, Garth von Buchholz (Helen); granddaughter Tiana von Buchholz; and many, many close friends, especially her dear friend and “sister” Carol Jaskie.
Ethel worked as a judges’ secretary at the Court of Queen’s Bench, Winnipeg, before her retirement. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Thorsteina Bailey, and all her siblings, Charlie, Gordon, Inga, Irene and Thelma.
A celebration of her life will be held later at First Lutheran Church, Winnipeg.
The family expresses gratitude to Ethical Death Care for their touching photo-biography video honoring Ethel's life, accessible through the ‘tributes’ link at the bottom of this obituary.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ethel's passing. She was a smart, caring woman who I always thought would have been a darn good lawyer in her own right! To Garth, Ingrid, Helen and Tianna, my most heartfelt condolence at your loss. God Bless. - Posted by: Darrell Kinley (Family friend) on: Apr 27, 2024
