With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lorelei Buss, dearly beloved wife of Ron Buss on May 1, 2024, at the Selkirk Hospital at the age of 72.
Lorelei is survived by her husband Ronald; daughter Darcie Serfas (Mark) and children, Luke and Amy; son Kelsey Buss and children, Janelle and Kellen; daughter Donna Prochnau (Jason) and children, Dentin, Dylan (Abby), Denaye, Derrien, Quincy and Jackson; and great-granddaughter Lila Erica Chambers; brother James Newman; sister Kathleen Schoenberger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Annie Newman; brothers, Searle, Tim, Glenn and Gaylord; and sister Nancy.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with Pastor Adam Wiebe officiating. Lunch will follow at the Brokenhead River Community Hall. A private viewing and interment will take place for the immediate family prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Dentin Chambers, Kellen Buss, Garth Newman, Tyler Goulet, Heidi Schoenberger and Luke Serfas.
Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Selkirk Hospital, the ER and SCU wards for their care and compassion. It meant so much to our family.
In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Lorelei’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
