Deepest condolences to Dorothy's family. Dorothy was a very classy lady. I knew she would be fun when we first met at St. Boniface Hospital in 1982. Always up for a party, coffee or lunch. We kept in touch over the years and recently went out to an art show and dinner. I loved her no nonsense attitude. I will miss her going forward. Thank you for being my friend. - Posted by: Willow River (Friend) on: May 11, 2024

My condolences to both sides of Dorothy's extended family. She was one of my first babysitters, along with her sister Aldyne, as the Prior family lived just down the street from the Cartlidge family in Portage la Prairie in the late 50's. I would go downtown for chips and a coke on Saturdays with Dorothy and her basketball teammates, and became their mascot with my matching Pats team jacket. In later years, I learned that Dorothy was reunited with her high school boyfriend, Doug, and that they were able to share a good number of happy years together as husband and wife. How romantic! Most recently I reconnected with Dorothy by phone, following the death of her dear sister Aldyne last fall. We were planning to have lunch together when I visited Winnipeg in August. Now I hope that she will be able to rejoin her sister and husband instead. She was a lovely, spunky lady who will be missed by many, I'm sure. - Posted by: Nancy Fontaine (longtime friend) on: May 11, 2024
