With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our loving and dearest mother and grandmother, Antigoni Groumoutis. Antigoni passed away in Winnipeg on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the age of 100.
She leaves behind her sons Leo (Toula) and George (Melina); her daughter Athanasia (Robert); grandchildren Antigoni, Ianthe, and Daphne; nephews George, Gus, and Leo Tsouras; and nieces Susan Danos and Mary Vartsakis; along with numerous cherished nephews, nieces, and relatives in San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, and Greece.
We will remember her for her kind and generous heart, devotion to God, and faith. Mom will always be remembered for her hugs and kisses and the way she made you feel loved when you came to her home.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a gift to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
