OKSANA BODIE
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Oksana Bodie on her 95th birthday.
Oksana was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage and was a long-standing parishioner of Holy Eucharist Parish and a member of the UCWLC for over 60 years. She was also involved with the perogy project and Busy Fingers Knitting group at the Parish.
Mom was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Holy Family Nursing Home for many years.
Oksana was very talented and enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking and especially baking bread.
Mom also loved to travel and watch sports. Her favourite sport was curling.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Dr. Taras Babick and Dr. Andrea Babick for their compassion and care.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Church located on Watt and Munroe, interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Oksana’s memory may be made to Holy Family Home, care of the Lubov Foundation, 1085 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R2W 3S1 or a charity of your choice.
