It is with sadness that we announce Milly’s passing on May 26, 2024 at Calvary Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. We know that her Lord and Saviour, Jesus welcomed her with open arms.
Milly will be missed by John, her beloved husband of almost 70 years. She will be remembered by her siblings, Gerry (Velma), Darlene, Joyce, Sharon (Bob) as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her young son Larry, and siblings, Gilbert, Lloyd (Leanna), Irma (Norm), brother-in-law Bob and sister-in-law Ann.
Milly loved spending time with Johnny especially when they were travelling. Together they attended Calvary Temple for many years and enjoyed their Sunday lunches with friends. Milly volunteered in many areas but her delight was singing in the church choir.
In 1989 Milly retired from the University of Winnipeg after working as the secretary to the Controller for 25 years.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at both Calvary Place and Poseidon Personal Care Homes, for their compassion and exceptional care.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
