ESTHER TABITHA SORENSEN (ZORN) has gone home. 2 Timothy 4:8, Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Esther Sorensen, passed away peacefully May 19, 2024. She was 88. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years Allen. Esther leaves to mourn, daughter Sherry (Rudy Funk); sons, Paul (Sharon) and Mark (Lori); grandchildren, Alissa (Ryan Martens), Shannon (Chris Archer), Ian and Jonathan; great-grandchildren William and Marcus Archer; her sister, Ruth (John) Semotiuk; brother-in-law Gordon (Merilyn) Sorensen, also many nephews and nieces.
Born October 12, 1935 in Winnipeg, MB. She spent her working years mainly at Concordia Hospital. During her life she put in order her love of Jesus Christ, family and work. She volunteered for many years at Park Manor Care Home. Her favorite scripture verse was Galatians 2:20.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue.
The family would like to thank the Health Science Centre for their outstanding care. As well as the friends and family that lent their time and support to her.
