After a long, courageous battle with M.S. and leukaemia, Dean passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Health Sciences Centre (MICU).
He grew up in East Elmwood and attended George V and Elmwood High School. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Caroline Humberger, brothers, Richard and Ronald. He is survived by his sister Connie Carter; his sister by heart Joyce; cousins, Terry and Les; niece Cheryl and their families and many wonderful friends who have been supportive over the years, to name a few (alphabetically) Brenda, Darrell, Gord, Larry, Lori and Pete plus all staff and tenants at 15 Kennedy and not to forget his much loved "companion cat", Pinky. He lived his life with a positive and grateful attitude and rarely complained.
He deserves to finally rest in peace but will be deeply missed. According to his wishes there will be no formal service.

Dean was a dear friend from early childhood, as an adult too, kind and warm. Over the years always ran into Buddy, as we called him. Very saddened to see Buddy leave this world, will be missed dearly. Love you Bud! - Posted by: Susan Belanger (Friend for life) on: Jun 29, 2024

I will always think of you when there are thunderstorms and I will smile remembering how you would call me every time you heard an ambulance to see that I was ok. I will miss your remarkable dreams and remember your constant dry sense of humor. You will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Rest in Peace my Friend and as they say "Rock On" Lori - Posted by: Lori (A friend who will never forget you and will always miss you. ) on: Jun 16, 2024

I have known Dean for many years , starting at Lester Beach where we both spent many summers. Then a bit later in life in Elmwood, was a friend of my cousins and we both ended up in my cousins wedding party. Over the last little while we reconnected through Facebook, then visited as often as we could on messenger. I will dearly miss you Dean 💕 you were a great guy and a true friend RIP. - Posted by: Kerry Poirier (Friend ) on: Jun 08, 2024
