Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • To Joan, George, Roy, Kelly, Tarry and family and her many friends our most heartfelt sympathy on the news of Jean's passing. She was one very special person and I am so glad we got to visit with her in DCL. Always the conversation turned to what we both knew best, our love and great memories of my Aunt, Ella Vezey. In fact it is likely there I first met Jean and oh my, the stories she could tell me of her long friendship with Aunty Ella. I was so amazed at how much she read and how much she remembered. A true historical reference of the Oakville area. She was a joy to know. I will cherish those visits and seeing her so often at my Aunt Ella's place in Oakville, then all the sewing repairs she did for my mom and dad. I think she even altered my grad suit in 1979? She was a special person and I will cherish those visits I had with her while in DCL. Our deepest sympathy on the loss of this much loved person. She touched the lives of a lot of people and she will be, and is missed. But she lives on in the hearts and memories of many. Me included. Our deepest sympathy. - Posted by: Ron and Shelley Stewart (Friend) on: Jul 06, 2024

  • Joan and family, I’m sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and yes very giving to all. I remember visits to her home with my mom Muriel in my younger years. Jean was a wealth of knowledge about family history and was so helpful and giving as I started my journey into discovering my family history. • Jean was a well respected Oakville citizen. She was involved in many community programs. 4-H was a program that Jean was involved when my daughters were in the sewing unit . There was nothing that Jean did not know in the sewing world. Cherish fond memories of your mom and grandmother. Blessings. The Einarsons. - Posted by: Norma (Tully) Einarson (Friend) on: Jun 08, 2024
