Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL MONCHALIN
We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Muriel Monchalin on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Riverview Medical Centre at the age of 86.
She was predeceased by her sister Lorette, her husband Rene and her son Leo. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Denis, Marc (April), Diane (Jeff), Roger (Jackie) and Louis; and her siblings, Ronald and Norman. She will also be missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mom was a very busy mother and wife, keeping the household in order while Dad was busy managing the grain elevator. In the summer, every Friday she would pack up all the kids, their bikes, some food, get the camper ready and off the family would go for the weekend. Sunday night, unpack everything, get laundry done only to start all over again the following Friday!
Mom loved playing in the dirt, spending many hours in her flower gardens, making the yard look like a city park! She also practiced her culinary skills, cooking and baking, and she excelled at it. Many family gatherings were held for all of us to sample her great work.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Riverview for their wonderful care for Mom.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Our since condolences to Muriel's family. We didn't know your children but we did get to know Denis when we lived in Boissevain and he was working at the elevator in Boissevain. Our prayers are with you all. Bob & Annette Deleurme. - Posted by: Robert and Annette Deleurme (Friend) on: Jun 15, 2024
