It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our much-loved father, husband, and grandfather, Robert (Bob) Hill, on June 5, 2024, at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 86.
Bob’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church located at 877 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, with a reception following in the South Hall. Interment will take place at a later date.

I met Bob and Dorothy during my first posting to 437 Squadron, about 60 years ago, and we quickly became good friends. Following our marriage, my wife and I continued the association during our Hercules years at 435 and 436 Squadrons. Later, when the children arrived, we all got into trailer travelling during our joint posting to CFANS Winnipeg. Many years later, we were still in touch, albeit at irregular intervals, until my last e-mail and following phone calls went unanswered. We first met Bob & Dorothy in Trenton when the guys were on the 437 squadron. Bridge games were a hoot. We were then posted together to Winnipeg then Edmonton and the friendship continued. Dorothy and I curled in the ladies league attended the officer wives bridge club and our occasional fun bridge when the guys were home. Bob was a dear friend of our sister and brother in law, Phyllis and Michael. That's how we met the Hill family. Spent time with Bob and Dorothy in Mesa, AZ. We had many hours of laughter in their company. RIP BOB. - Posted by: Doug and Judy Walton (Friends ) on: Jun 15, 2024
