Jim passed away June 27, 2024, at the Arborg Hospital, after a battle with cancer.
Jim was born February 5, 1931. He was raised in the Silver Bay, Ashern, Manitoba area. He married Shirley L. West in 1954 and they had three sons: Jim, Barry and Johnny. Jim loved fishing at the Narrows with his family.
His youngest son Johnny passed away in 2016. Jim was also predeceased by three brothers: Billy, Gordon and Lloyd.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife Shirley, his two oldest sons, Jim and Barry. He also leaves behind his sisters, Norma, Merle, Lorraine, Irene, and his younger brother Gary. Also left to mourn his passing grandchildren, Colin, Suzanne, Jason and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Terrence and Gabby.
Special thanks to Ashley for staying with Grampa while he was in the hospital these past two weeks.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service as per Dad's request.
Rest in Peace Dad
and go fishing with Johnny.
