Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • We were sorry to read of Norma’s passing. She and Harold were neighbours of ours at Ponemah for several years. What a fine couple they were! I admired Norma for all that she did to ensure her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had fun filled summers at the lake. So happy that Alicia dropped by for a visit last summer as she revisited the spot where many memories were made. Loved watching Norma show off her garage sale finds, whether it was clothes for the kids or some item of interest for the cottage. Our condolences to the family. • It was a mutual friend who suggested that I contact Norma when I left Ashern for the big city lights of Wpg, in ‘57 or ‘58, to see if she was willing to take in a boarder. She was, and we became fast friends from then on. No matter how many years we may not have seen each other, when we did, we took up right where we left off at our last meeting. Norma was one of the kindest, most thoughtful, understanding, caring, giving person I knew. She was someone you could always count on, a true friend. She always had an extra bed or place at the table for you and yours. She and Harold were great valued friends of mine. RIP my friend. ‘’Til we meet again. - Posted by: Donna Caister (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2024
