NOREEN JOAN KENICK

1933 - 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Noreen Joan Kenick announce her passing on July 6 at age 90.

Devoted wife of the late Robert (Bob) Kenick, she was predeceased by her loving parents, Mitzi and George Pernsteiner, her brother George (Emmy), son Scott (Jeanette) and daughter Dawn (Jim Pruden). She is survived by her sons, Paul (Colleen) and Terry (Deb) as well as her three grandsons, Sean, Ryan and Dylan, granddaughter Nicole and their families.

Noreen was born in Winnipeg where she lived her whole life. She worked for Office Overload in her early adulthood before becoming a full-time devoted mother to her four children. Despite limited means, she was a consistent contributor to many Canadian charities and organizations. Noreen and Bob always enjoyed the times spent with their many friends, their summers at West Hawk lake, especially the times spent together with family. She was the pillar of strength and wisdom for the Kenick family “She was our Rock”, and will live on through the lessons of Life, Love and Caring she taught us all.

She will be forever loved and missed by all those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Association or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be gratefully accepted.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 25, at Green Acres Funeral Home, ceremony at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at 10:45 a.m., with light luncheon to follow.

  • Noreen was a very special lady and it was a honor to be one of her care givers. She loved her family very much. Her Face would light up when her kids came to see her. You kids were excellent to your mom♥️ - Posted by: Kelly (One of her Health Care Aides at Simkin Centre ) on: Jul 20, 2024
