It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sabina Trentin (nee Lando), on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the age of 92 years.
Sabina will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Mary Mochoruk (Jim), Daniella Franczyk (Frank), and Manuela Trentin; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and relatives in Italy and Australia.
She was predeceased by her husband Pietro Trentin; parents, Antonio and Maria; two brothers and a sister.
Sabina was born on October 9, 1931, in Rossano, Veneto, Vicenza, Italy. She came to Canada in 1956 and married Pietro, to whom she was married for 50 years. She was devoted to her family and loved to spend time baking and gardening. She sang for many years in the Holy Rosary Church Choir.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre for their excellent care and compassion.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. and mass at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Entombment will follow at Holy Angel Mausoleum, Highway #1 East, at Navin Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre.

Dear Daniella and Frank, Sara, Matthew and Jeremy. We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and grandmother. We met your parents a number of times and they were such welcoming people, always greeting us with a smile and such warmth. You always spoke so lovingly about your mom and we know that you and the family adored her. How wonderful to have so many beautiful memories together with your beloved mother to cherish forever.
