MARLENE KLASSEN (HECKERT)
Marlene peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., with family by her side.
She leaves to mourn her children: Marcie, Lori (Mark), Murray (Chantel), Gary (Wanda) and longtime friend Beverly Robb, who was like a daughter to her. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Kent, Michael, Khristian, Destiny, Nate and Griffin; one sister Shirley Penner and one sister-in-law Linda Heckert.
Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Theodore and Lillian Heckert, husband Jake, sister Beverly and brother Dennis.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, especially Carol, who had a special place in Marlene’s heart.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steinbach, MB., with interment at the church cemetery.
Donations can be made in memory of Marlene to Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation or to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
