ANDRE LAFLECHE
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of André Laflèche, age 90, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather.
André was the beloved husband of Lillian Lafleche (née Devriendt), who stood by his side for 69 years, sharing countless memories and enduring love. He was a devoted father to his son, Jean Paul, and loved his daughter-in-law, Manon Tremblay, like one of his own.
As a grandfather, André’s two granddaughters, Annabelle and Chloe, were the light of his life, bringing him boundless happiness and fulfillment. He was also a cherished brother, uncle and friend.
André was a man of compassion, laughter and family values, leaving behind a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who have had the chance to share a laugh and drink with him.
Words cannot express the care, compassion, and the love that André was shown by the 6th floor staff at Deer Lodge during his stay. We will be forever grateful!
As per André's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andre’s memory to Deer Lodge Centre Foundation at:

I am so sorry Lillian of Andre’s passing. I know he hasn’t been well for a long time. I have been trying to call you but the number I have is no longer in service. Please contact me when you receive this. Andre was always so much fun and I relish the photos of our wedding day in his fancy car with him behind the wheel. Bon courage. Lillian and Jean Paul. You have mine and Kellie’s deepest sympathies for the loss of your husband and father. I have many memories of Andre. He was a very giving man and was always eager to teach me some of his many skills when I was a young man. I loved his stories, sharp wit and his one liners. For his size, Andre was a very strong man, with a gigantic personality. I will always remember his quote, “I’m a 150 lbs of whipping blue steel.” This would always put a smile on my face! Kellie fondly remembers his humour and his “joie de vivre.” Andre, you will be deeply missed. - Posted by: David and Kellie Huyghe (Family friends) on: Aug 21, 2024

Dearest Lil and family: My deepest condolences to you in your loss. André was such a sweetheart and so sociable and able to mix with any crowd. He was very proud of his lovely family and extremely dedicated to his wife. Who can forget the twinkle in his eyes as he tweaked his mustache! Or his love of dancing and his wonderful voice! Rest in peace, André, and watch over your loved ones. May God bless his family as they remember all the good times.
