DIANN LYNN MAGNUS
With love and sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Diann (Mom, Nana, Dizey) after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Predeceased by her parents, Ann and Rex Wootton, she is survived by her loving husband, Greg; her son, Scott; and daughter, Laura LeDrew. She will never be forgotten by her favourite people, her grandchildren, Sydney Magnus and Lake and Sadie LeDrew.
Diann’s home in her heart was at Caddy Lake where she made memories over family and friend gatherings, blueberry and daisy picking, and very serious crib and card games. She kayaked, canoed and waterskied until she couldn’t. Her sense of adventure took her and Greg all over the world including Australia, Thailand and Singapore. Her love for her children and grandchildren took them to Banff, Thompson and Swan River. Diann made friends everywhere she went and these connections epitomize her gracious, loving and welcoming soul.
Diann worked as a legal assistant and a jewelry salesperson but preferred to volunteer her time; Pan Am Games, Fort Whyte Centre and Macdonald House to name a few.
We will miss her beyond measure and are counted as lucky to have had her as a friend, a grandma, a mom and wife.
We thank the wonderful staff at Tuxedo Villa for taking care of our girl.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of their choice.

Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Greg, Scott and Laura with the passing of Dizey. Our fondest memories were those we shared at Caddy Lake, her beauty, kindness, zest for life and fun loving spirit will be cherished. She was so deeply loved by our Mom, Sunny Durward (Thomson) who had a very special place in her heart for Diann. Mom often shared stories of them as children and all the times spent together at the lake, the laughs, the jokes, the things they had in common, both holding family so dearly to their heart. May you take comfort in all the wonderful memories you shared. - Posted by: Kim Carothers (Family) on: Sep 26, 2024

First sand castles in the sand, then cheese and crackers and watching clouds at Caddy. Then came crazy dancing and laughing till our stomachs hurt. Later the gift of a special grown up friendship. Now, being thankful you are in a special place where you can be free again. Gone, but never forgotten, we love you, Michele and Bob - Posted by: Michele Drew (Forever Friend) on: Aug 29, 2024

Sincere condolences to Greg, Laura, Scott, and family. We had so many good times together at Caddy Lake, Diann. You were my cribbage partner, always smiling, and always up for an adventure - like paddling through the marsh in our kayaks, or going exploring through the tunnels in our "tin Lizzies" with our guys. May you rest in peace, dear friend. - Posted by: Christa Brooks (friend) on: Aug 24, 2024
