EDWARD (TED) JOSEPH TRELKA

September 12, 1927-August 15, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Ted Trelka.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Terry (Heather); son Bobby (Alissa); and his grandchildren, Teren, Charlie, and Sarah. Ted was predeceased by his loving wife Marlene only a short time ago on April 4, 2024. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Maria; his brothers, Stan and Charlie; and sisters, Josephine and Elsie.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held in Brandon at a later date. A special online commemoration for Ted can be accessed through the ‘tributes’ link at the bottom of this obituary.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Sorry to hear of Ted’s passing. My dad, Frank Patsula, was closely related to the Trelka family. Although I did not know Ted well I do remember he and Marlene visiting us in Edmonton. I remember Ted’s smile and kindness. I also remember my mom, Doris, waiting for Ted and Marlene’s yearly Christmas cards (even after my Dad’s passing). Sending the Trelka family condolences and blessings…as I know both Ted and Marlene were blessings in your lives! Lovingly, Elaine Patsula - Posted by: Elaine Patsula (Cousin ) on: Sep 05, 2024

  • We are extremely sorry to hear of Ted's passing so soon after Marlene. We have many great memories of Ted dating back to when he was a handsome teen. Ted was my Mom's nephew in Brandon. He was the youngest of the Trelka clan and the last to pass away. I can still remember his home at the end of Tenth street north in Brandon and the marigold flowers Aunty Mary grew in her flower bad, I can recall Ted's garden plots just east of Brandon. He was a dedicated gardener. But Marlene was the love of his life. Ted will always have a special place in our heart and thoughts. Eternal rest to a life well lived, - Posted by: Pau;ine and John Chudzik (Cousins) on: Sep 02, 2024
