Peacefully Gilbert passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Portage La Prairie Hospital.
Gilbert leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Sally; his two children, Denis and Jacqueline; his grandson Edmond; one brother Julien (Doris) and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Hilaire and Yvonne Lachance, and two brothers, Marcien and Roger (Carole).
Gilbert grew up on a farm in St. Eustache. After his schooling, Gilbert continued to farm in St. Eustache until his retirement in 2019.
We would like to thank all the staff at the Portage La Prairie Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
