I enjoyed working with Henri (as she was known by her co-workers) for many years in the Agriculture Canada seed lab before she transferred to the inspection staff - the first seed analyst to become an inspector here in Winnipeg. Henri (never shy) contributed generously to lab social events and organised many lively parties in the home she shared with Bill - the MC, of course. Good times were had by all! Henri's pumpkin soup was legendary. She taught me the proper way to cook perogies without burning them - a small skill but much appreciated. Our little lunch group was made that much smaller when Henri could no longer join the retired seed analysts for lunch as she enlivened our little group. So sad that this is no longer possible.
