Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I also worked with Doug at Transcontinental. We curled together for a number of years. Always had a lot of laughs together. Favorite story with him happened in a curling Bonspiel. In between games we all stopped at Earls for some drinks and wings. We complained about the heat of the wings. Not up to our standards to the waiter. Doug said his were ok. The waiter came back to our table and said the cook loved a challenge. Try these on the house. Man they were hot! We bugged Doug long enough to try them. He had a couple not to be out done by the rest of us. After the second one he began to sweat from his forehead profusely. Even a couple of hiccups. He retold that story over and over. Always with a laugh. Always enjoyed his friend ship. Very nice guy and always brings a smile to his memory. Rest in peace Doug. - Posted by: Don Head (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2024

  • We worked together at Transcontinental Printing. Doug was part of our group that formed the annual Transcontinental Curling Bonspiel. My memories of Doug are always having a good laugh with him. My condolences to the family during this difficult time. - Posted by: Zenon Char (A friend from work ) on: Sep 28, 2024
