Although many decades have passed by since I last talked with Dan, he was one of my best friends in university. When I was alone, he approached me so we could have lunch together, after one of our classes. After that, we were good friends for years. He was a man born way ahead of his times, and some of his thoughts and beliefs were uncommon for the day. He absolutely loved baseball, and we spent many a day either throwing the ball around, or discussing whether baseball was better than hockey, which was his position. Not only that, but he loved the New York Yankees, and nothing could convince him otherwise. I am sorry that I lost touch with him. I hope he rests in peace. - Posted by: Bruce Hutchison (old friend from university) on: Oct 05, 2024

I became friends with Dan when we were getting a BA at university of Winnipeg. After graduation we took a road trip to New York and stayed with my aunt and uncle. After the trip we drifted apart. I wasn’t aware he got an MSW - same as me. Dan was an interesting person with a dry sense of humour. We hung out with Bruce Hutchison who became a clinical psychologist and informed me of Dan's passing. My condolences- a unique individual. - Posted by: Earl Palansky (Friend) on: Oct 05, 2024
