MARILYN GARDEN
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Garden on September 29, 2024, at age 87.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Ron of 63 years; and her daughters, Jenny Garden, and Wendy Maxine (Kent) Gromnisky. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Vera Topp, and brothers, Ray and Don Topp.
Marilyn was born in Canfield, Ontario in 1937. She became a teacher and taught in the Hamilton area where she met the love of her life, Ron. They married and lived in a variety of places until they settled in Winnipeg in 1973 to raise their family. After their daughters were grown, Marilyn and Ron spent many happy months travelling to England and California every year.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Shaftsbury Retirement Residence, especially to the staff of the Boulevard.
A service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 472 Kirkfield St, Wpg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
