PETER GIESBRECHT


Peter Giesbrecht, born November 8, 1932, passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on October 2, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne of 71 years; son Brian (Almuth) and children, Heather and Joel; son Rod (Viola) and children, Amanda and Jessica; daughter Sharon (Daryll) and children, Nathan, Jillian, and Carlie. He is further survived by 14 great-grandchildren and two sisters.

Peter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, neighbour and friend.

He spent 41 years working in the meat packing industry and a further 27 years volunteering with MCC.

Peter was a man of integrity, committing himself to his work. He faithfully cared for his family and those in need.

He was a man who lived his faith and was a servant of Jesus Christ.

Peter will be deeply missed.

Memorial on Saturday, October 12, 2:00 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. For those who cannot attend a livestream link will be available, please contact the funeral home.
