BRIAN MICHAEL MOORE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Michael Moore, a devoted husband, beloved father and cherished granddad.

Brian was born February 15, 1947, and passed October 4, 2024, he was predeceased by his mother Doreen Lovell, father John Moore, aunt Mary and uncle Don (Lorraine).

A man of many talents; Brian was a ‘jack of all trades’ and a constant learner. His intelligence and loving nature left a lasting impact on everyone, fortunate enough to have known him. He was a lover of the great outdoors, finding peace and joy in nature. Whether it was camping, boating or fishing, he made countless memories with his family and friends at the lake. Brian also had a deep passion for music that filled our lives with joy. Music was always playing - his guitar and voice were a constant presence every weekend morning at the kitchen table or around the campfire. Brian was also a tech-savvy man. He always had the latest gadgets in music, video and photography, capturing life’s precious moments and creating a fun environment to spend quality time with friends and family. A dedicated sports fan, Brian passed his love of sports on to his children by watching games and keeping them involved in golf, baseball, swimming, hockey and football.

Brian was a man well-traveled, whether for business or adventures with friends and family. His career took him to many places, including Northern Manitoba working in the wilderness for Manitoba Hydro. He also travelled for Conviron, Datasphere, and his own business, Moore Technical Services. Brian finished his career as the Regional Sales Manager for Liebert, traveling across Canada as their technical expert in AC power systems and cooling. His expertise gained him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Brian’s travels have taken him all over Canada, the United States and Europe; where he has created cherished memories with family, friends and colleagues.

Above all, Brian was a family man who always put his loved ones first. His kindness, wisdom and strength will remain with us forever. Brian will be deeply missed by his loving wife Virginia; son Sean (Tess), grandson Kyle and granddaughter Chantelle; his son Jay (Amanda), grandson Kalobe, and granddaughters Keara and Rheanne; his son Joey (Amy) and grandson Milo; his son Charles (Adara) and granddaughter Rory Rose.

A private celebration of his life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home where we will gather to honour the man who meant so much to us all.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Winnipeg Pet Rescue.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I met Brian in 1978 and we became friends from there until this very day. Brian worked for Conviron systems at that time, I, a refrigeration mechanic. Brien was instrumental on most jobs I worked on during this time. I had found and respected a wonderful hi tech friend. As time passed we went our separate ways in the trade but always managed to stay in touch. During the last few years Brian suffered a slew.of health problems and was continually hospitalized. Despite all he still remained the same old Brian, facing his problems and remaining steadfast. He was released from Deer Lodge hospital a few weeks ago and we, all his friends and relatives, became encouraged, and hopefull that he was improving. Sadly a terrible accident took place for Brian. I have lost a great friend who set one of the finest examples of a real good man whose presence among us, I am sure, leaves a lasting memorey of respect and love. - Posted by: Edward Melnick (Friend) on: Oct 17, 2024

  • We want to express our condolences to Virginia and her family. We enjoyed spending time with Brian when he came to Vancouver, for work and visits with the family. Brian was always a kind and gentle man and we were blessed to have him as a friend. Rest in Peace Brian, we love you. - Posted by: Mike and Joy Conran (Friends) on: Oct 16, 2024
