Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I spent 5 days next to Bertha in the Concordia hospital. I was discharged on the 14th of October but during the time I was next to her, her nights were filled with talking about her family, singing beauful hymns and going through her piano lessons she taught to her students. I did not know her personally but through being at the right place at the right time I got to know her life that she cherished unintentionally by just being the Neighbor in the hospital. I spent days colouring pictures for her to hang them up so when she woke up she would see beautiful colors in the morning. She spoke to all her care givers around her with respect and admiration. Not once in the short time I knew her did she say a single negative thing about anyone. A heart like hers was warm and I am thankful to have known her when I did .
