ERNIE ALEXANDER ZIRK

1960 - 2024


It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, Ernie Zirk, who passed at the Beausejour Hospital on October 16, 2024, at the age of 63.

He is predeceased by his parents William and Adella Zirk; his brothers Merwvn and Clarence; his nephews Tom and Jon.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Karen; his siblings Lawrence (Jeannette), John (Lynette), Adeline, Rosemarie, and Darlene (Eugene). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Ernie was born in Beausejour and grew up on the family farm in Glenmoor. He worked as a mechanic and loved to tinker on cars. He liked to watch Nascar Racing and going to Grand Forks to watch The World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.

Many thanks to the staff at Beausejour Hospital and CancerCare for all their support.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with viewing one hour prior, at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, MB, with interment to follow in the Zion Lutheran Parish Cemetery.
