Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Did not get a response from Liz on the phone and looked up Sandra and Gord's number which was not responding so we assumed she had passed away. We send our deepest sympathy to the Veert family. We had wished that we lived closer so that we could visit more often. God's bless Liz and may she rest in peace ...will miss our phone calls. • Dear family, sending prayers and comforting hugs on the passing of Eliz, a wonderful age who loved life. Last time I seen mom was at her happy place at McPhillips, we chatted and joked about old times. She was one spunky, classy lady. • Elizabeth will always have a place in my heart. She was all about family. Great sense of humour, and such a story teller. She would come like clock work to get her haircut once a month and I could never cut her hair short enough. She had more important things to do when she left my house then to be fussing about with her hair .She was always having some one in her family coming over to her place for a meal or a drink. Or heading to church to get her Easter bread blessed. For many years she loved going out of town on trips to see the kids. And only very occasionally that trip might include a casino. As she got older she would say, oh I don’t think that I will go anymore. I am too old, Next thing I knew. She had gone again! She shared her love of knitting with me. I never was able to recreate the slippers. Such a generous women she was. To all her family I am deeply sorry for your loss and May she rest in Peace - Posted by: Francesca de Grave (Friend) on: Oct 30, 2024
