JACQUELINE CAROL WALLACE
Jackie passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 79 after a seven-year battle with progressive aphasia and dementia.
She is the youngest daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy Davis (nee Taylor) and is survived by her husband Ian, her children, Dee (Chris) and Darren (Rose) Wallace, grandchildren, MK, Danny, Anna, Jade, Jack and Kiera, and her sisters, Jane (Murray) and Deanne (Greg) and many other extended family members.
Jackie was a strong caring wife, mother and sister who always managed to put her family first. She was instrumental in the founding of her husband Ian’s business, Wallace Machinery & Supply Co Ltd and miraculously managed both office and home. In her later years she was an avid golf and tennis player always fit and being healthy.
Jackie was known and admired for her baking, her silliness and sense of humour, and her thoughtful cards and notes (and penmanship). Clearwater Bay, Lake of the Woods was her happy place and the source of many cherished memories. It was here that she met her husband of 58 years, Ian and will be her final resting place. Friends, family, sunsets and wine were all central and a big part of the experience at the Lake and fond memories will live on.
Jackie will be dearly missed by all. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and had a pure selfless spirit. Always ready to listen and put others first. She will live on in all of us.
As per Jackie’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family service will be held in her honour in the coming weeks.
In lieu of flowers, friends or family are welcome to donate to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation in Jackie’s honour. https://www.hscfoundation.mb.ca/support/ways-to-give/tribute-giving/

How we remember her baking (even when she smuggled them to Toronto on the plane), her infectious sense of silly humour, sharing life’s moments raising our kids and times together at the lake. The world will not be the same without her. Our thoughts are with Ian, Deanna, Darren and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Dee & Greg (Sister & Bother-in-law) on: Nov 03, 2024

Jackie was my wonderful friend at Kelvin High School. We spent many fun times together and later John and I were great buddies with Ian and Jackie. She was one of my bridesmaids. We had many great weekends at their cottage. We send our deepest sympathy to Ian and the family. Janet & John Gibson. - Posted by: Janet Gibson (High school friend) on: Nov 02, 2024

So sorry to hear of Jackie’s passing. We spent many hours together driving to golf destinations, including to Buffalo Point from the lake. We shared many a golf cart and a love for tennis, golf, and reading. Jackie was just so cute and positive all the time and all of us tennis gals loved being with her. - Posted by: Claudette Blunderfield (Golf and tennis friend) on: Nov 02, 2024
