It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Zapisocki on November 1, 2024 at Concordia Hospital.
Pat is survived by her children Cheryl, Karen (Delma) and Andrew, sisters Marion Kirkland and Martha Brown, sisters-in-law Irene Zapisocki and Mary McIntosh, furry granddaughters Sadie and Georgie, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Walter, parents Lena Komarnicki and Peter Komarnicki, in-laws William and Martha Zapisocki, sister Helen Sywy, brother Peter Komarnicki and brothers-in-law Malcolm Kirkland, Peter Sywy and Robert Brown.
Pat loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed baking and knitting and sharing her creations. She was an avid sports fan, attending Goldeyes games and watching the Bombers, Jets, tennis and curling on TV. She took pleasure in watching shows on Netflix.
In the last few years Pat attended the Adult Day Program at Holy Family Home. She enjoyed all the activities and especially the people. The connections she made there had a profound effect on her.
We would like to thank the nurses and health care aides on N3 East at Concordia Hospital for the kind and thoughtful care given to our mother.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Private Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Holy Family Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2W 1T9.
