George Jackson, born George Warden Jackson on June 20, 1935, in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 89 in Carberry, Manitoba.

George's early years were marked by a deep connection to family, his community, and values that he carried throughout his life. He was an extravert who thrived in the company of others, exuding warmth and kindness in every interaction. His passions included gardening, animals, music, and notably, cooking - a skill that earned him the affectionate nickname "The Good Cooker."

His service in the military as a cook was a significant chapter in his life. Although he never served in active combat, his roles were crucial in supporting his fellow service members. His dedication to his duties took him away from his family at times, a sacrifice that did not go unnoticed. George was a proud veteran.
