Doreen passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at Seven Oaks Hospital. She was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many.
At age 97 years, 10 months Mom experienced much loss in her life. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and many friends and extended family. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Murray Hyde, in 2011; and her dear daughter, Karen Elizabeth Bright, in 2014.
Doreen is survived by her children, Catherine Charles (Richard), Cam Hyde (Connie Klawis) and Gavin Hyde; as well as her nephew, Jon Falkenberg (Carol); and her son-in-law, Bill Bright; her grandchildren, Johanna Charles Caithness (Ryan), Charlie Hyde (Kristin McPherson), Erin Charles (Kevin Coyne), Beth Gage (Zachary) and Kelly Bright (Richelle Ready); her great-grandchildren, Julia and Grace Caithness, Aidan and James Coyne, Bud Gage; and Jon’s children, Annika Falkenberg and Jack Paull (Leah); as well as Mom and Dad’s nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her quiet nature, and at her request, there will be no service. The family will gather at a later date for an interment at St. Vital Cemetery.

I was very saddened to hear of Doreen's passing. She and Joe were long time good friends with my parents Bill & Dorothy. I have many fond memories of her and Joe and my folks from the lake, and hearing about the Shrine events they all shared in. Our condolences to her entire family. She will be missed. Aunt Doreen was kind and caring to all her large family. She was the last of 9 siblings of the Campbell clan that began their lives in Austin, Manitoba. They were a warm and loving family and we are all the better for the lasting memories we have of their warmth and kindness.
