WALTER KREMERS
Known lovingly as Uncle Funnyface, Walter passed away early Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024, with his glasses on and phone in hand.
He was the devoted husband of Marian; cherished brother to Carla and Onno; and a beloved uncle and friend. A research chemist at AECL, Walter also innovated in computer technology and volunteered as an instructor at Creative Retirement.
Walter loved the outdoors - skiing, cycling, and geocaching across Canada, Europe, and beyond with Marian. At home, he excelled at BBQs and brought joy to every gathering.
The family thanks Dr. Rittberg and the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care.
A celebration of Walter's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11 at 603 Wellington Crescent. A second celebration will be held in Holland. Donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Creative Retirement, or Harvest Manitoba.
Walter’s warmth and curiosity touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Our condolences are with Marian and their families. Along with Marian, they have been a valued part of my life for many decades. Walter was the ultimate punster at the dinner table and his quick wit kept us on our toes and laughing. He always sought new adventures and he applied his many talents to help others. I am fortunate to have shared so many memories with he and Marian and his passing touches us deeply. - Posted by: Terry Cooke (Friend) on: Dec 07, 2024

I always loved sitting and talking to Walter at Toastmasters events. He always had interesting stories to tell. He will be missed at our future events, but certainly not forgotten. - Posted by: Dianne Winser (Friend) on: Dec 04, 2024
