This comes as a shock to me because I just picked up some drapery rods from Darryl a few weeks ago. I started off in the decorating business thirty years ago and Darryls name was given to me as Vary-Ray Blinds was THE place to go to either to repair or make blinds. We became good friends as we were both running our own business. He was such a good honest warm person with a great sense of humour. After I retired I would send people to him to repair their blinds and it was also the same type of remarks that came back to me about Darryl. My heart and prayers go out to his family. - Posted by: Lillian Stefaniuk (Coworker and friend ) on: Dec 24, 2024

Uncle Daryl was always an amazing soul. Always that happy smile. After his sister passed away he and my uncle Bart made sure we were ok. We could never ask for better uncles. They made us laugh, went out of their way to ensure we felt as loved as possible. They helped our father in his grief. I always remember my uncle Daryl helping me or calling me when I needed him. He did he know? His heartfelt laughter and calling me JaimJaim will always be imprinted on my memory and the ongoing memory I will continue to have of him. He was literally one of the kindest men I knew. I hope you hug my mom and dad and say hi to grandpa. You all are and always will be part of what made me who I am. I love you. - Posted by: Jaime (Niece) on: Dec 09, 2024

Hi Darryl: There are so many things I never told you…. I always admired you; the way your smile lights a room, your voice that calms and warms are that hear it, your generous nature that never lets a call for help go unheard, in the way that you listen…we all feel everything will be alright, we all still feel you here and probably always will. Of all the things I never told you the most important one is…. I Love you, Darryl. - Posted by: Jim Steeves (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2024

My “other brother DARRYL” was born on July 16, 1954 in Winnipeg to Sadie and Maurice Munn he is predeceased by siblings Terry, Arleigh and parents. Myself, Bart, and wife, Anita along with our adult children Amanda Buhse (Jeff), Kyle Munn (Stephanie) and daughter, Victoria and Teneille Haiko (Brert) and children. Hazel, Chip and Red will all miss him for the rest of our lives. Darryl enjoyed time spent at the family cottage in Brereton, hunting with the boys, he loved music and scuba diving. He loved Simone, Diane, Bob and Bobby. A most generous and humble soul, he was the best Uncle in the world. - Posted by: Bart Munn (Brother) on: Dec 03, 2024

Thoughts are with you Diane, Simone, Bart, Anita & kids during this time. Maybe he's enjoying a rumski and having a "Guay" old time with friends and family of the past. - Posted by: Carmen Boca (Family friend) on: Dec 02, 2024
