Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJASNA PALIS-FIEBELKORN
Peacefully, surrounded by family in Ottawa, Jasna Palis-Fiebelkorn passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 44.
Beloved wife of David Fiebelkorn. Cherished daughter of Maria Elena L'hoeste Nieto and Jorge Eding Palis. Dear sister of Eding Yamil Palis and Asis Palis Lhoeste. Lovingly remembered by her Grandmother Blanca Esther Nieto de Lhoeste and sister in law Angela Fiebelkorn. Special friend to Marina Botero. Predeceased by father-in-law Rudolf (Roy) Fiebelkorn of Beausejour, Manitoba.
Jasna moved to Canada from her home in Colombia in 2009 and lived in Fort Simpson Northwest Territories. Her love of nature, and the peace and beauty of Canada's North made every day a blessing for her. She loved children and graduated from University del Norte in Early Childhood Education. Her greatest joy was operating the ever-popular Summer Spanish Kids camps in the Dehcho region of the NWT. She enjoyed many exciting vacations with her husband from coast to coast in Canada and loved traveling to the family home in Florida. She was an avid sports fan and loved golfing, and would never miss a Jets hockey game or a Blue Bombers football game.
We would like to thank the staff at the Ottawa Civic Campus hospital, Dr Fahad Alkherayf at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Dr. Mihail Guranda at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg and Dr. Saranya Kakumanu at Cancer Care Manitoba.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel; 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, MB., with viewing one hour prior. Cremation to take place following the conclusion of the service.

We had the privilege of meeting Jasna and sharing precious moments with her while living in Fort Simpson, NWT. We had a chance to witness Jasna’s love and commitment to children firsthand when she hosted the Spanish camps. We appreciated all her efforts and dedication to connecting with the youth through language. One of our fondest moments is when we had our son and she met him for the first time and remembering her joy and love for him. We will always remember Jasna for her love, faith and strength that she displayed. We were also always inspired by Dave and Jasna’s loving marriage that we always admired. Jasna’s life and legacy is one that will always stay with us! - Posted by: Sam and Samu (Family Friend) on: Dec 03, 2024

- Posted by: Thomas P. Zychowski (Friend ) on: Dec 02, 2024

Remembering Jasna - Some of my most cherished memories of Jasna come from our time together in the Northwest Territories. Whether we were exploring the breathtaking Nahanni, relaxing at Grand Beach, or spending time with her family in Manitoba, she brought so much joy and warmth to every moment. One of the most profound gifts Jasna gave me was the way she embraced my daughter, Helena. She formed a beautiful bond with her, loving her as if she were her own. I’ll never forget the sight of them chasing ducks together by the pond at Assiniboine Park, with Jasna’s laughter ringing out so freely. Jasna’s spirit was truly one of a kind—adventurous, kind, and full of life. She had a way of making everyone around her feel seen and loved. While she is no longer with us, her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration. She will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Zychowski Family (Friends ) on: Dec 02, 2024
