CARROLL BROWN

(nee GOODRICK)

May 15, 1936 - December 10, 2024

Carroll left us peacefully on the afternoon of December 10th. She will be dearly missed by her children: Kimberly, Dean (Susan), and Kristin (Patrick), and her grandchildren, Connor, Maya, Dominic and Soleil. She was predeceased by her husband Larry, her brothers, Bill and Jim, and her beloved dog Pepper.

Carroll was trained as a nurse, and never missed an opportunity to tell you!! She loved curling and golf, mostly for the opportunity to socialize with like-minded ladies. She enjoyed a great egg salad sandwich, Nanaimo bars, and Chinese food. And her kids - she loved her kids. You could always count on her being in the stands to cheer them on at any event. She had a brilliant sense of humour, and her laugh is something we’ll all miss.

Mom was thoughtful, and loved clipping articles and recipes that she thought you would like. One of the items she saved was a poem by Robert N. Test. The last of it says “If, by chance, you choose to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked, I will live forever”.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for the wonderful care that Carroll received there.

As an expressions of sympathy, please consider making a donation to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation in Carroll’s honour, stbhf.ca.
