Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryODILAS VALAIRE LESSARD
With heavy hearts, we announce that Odie passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 94.
He is predeceased by his two wives, Gertrude (Lambert, 2000) and Sirkka (Pirinen, 2021).
He leaves behind a son, Gerald (Lorraine); daughters, Jacqueline and Jo-Anne (Alan); and stepson, James (Amanda). He also leaves many grandchildren: Michelle (Fernando), Corey, Tyler, Kylan, Jordan (Sheena), Jenna-Dee (Kyle), Corey (Hannah), Kayla (Frank), and Cheryl; and great-grandchildren: Kenza, Aryann, Myla, Lynkyn, Hudsyn, Chayce, Greyson, Jamie, Nova, and Tia.
Our much-loved father spent his last years in the pastoral setting of St. Amant on the banks of the Red River, his work site of 30 years.
Odie will be forever remembered for his gift of joy and laughter to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His presence and jokes left lots of smiles on faces.
We lost a father who cared deeply for us, guided us, taught us how to fix things, played guitar and sang with us and took us out on Sunday drives in one of his many cherished cars! One can only imagine the family celebration waiting for him in heaven as he is the last of 11 siblings born to Octavie (Fillion) and Jean-Baptiste Lessard to leave this earth.
Grand merci, sincere thanks to the staff at Foyer Valade for the loving care and attention given to our father.
In Accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

I remember what a strong work ethic Uncle Odie had. He would help my parents by doing work for them occasionally and we were always impressed by his speed and the quality of his work; and the job site was always left clean. We, of course, also remember his humor. Our sincere sympathy to all in the family. - Posted by: Dolores & Lorne Blaquiere (Niece) on: Dec 29, 2024
