Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • We are so sorry to hear about Mr. Prime. He taught all my sisters (Christmas family) as well as my 2 daughters. He was a very special person and was loved by all who knew him. Our Condolences to all his family and friends. - Posted by: Gail Schick (Student) on: Jan 10, 2025

  • We were shocked to hear of the passing of Mr. Mervyn Prime! He was the sweetest teacher, most selfless person, with an endearing personality and generous with his time with my daughter. His charming smile that twinkled each time we saw him warmed our hearts. He was the very definition of what love is! He made it so easy to show love because he loved unconditionally and with everything he had. He was always ready to provide hugs, words of encouragement and motivation for striving to do more, striving to do better. He loved… loved… loved his gardening and encouraged us to eat from nature’s best! His meals he brought to school for me were delicious! Shared with his students when possible! He was truly the grandfather some needed spoiling us with snacks, the uncle who provided us with solid advice and the father with a firm but caring hand. He instilled the wisdom he had in his students he cared for. He accepted the parent as family and treated me as such ensuring I can trust my daughter in his capable hands for 10 years. No matter where we met him, the embrace was one that resembled the hug and unconditional love Christ has for His children! We will miss him dearly! Our heart will forever feel this void. RIP Mr. Prime! Till we meet again on that glorious day when Christ returns to take us all home. We love ❤️ you! - Posted by: Nia & Joni-Lee (Past favourite student & Parent) on: Jan 03, 2025

  • I was upset to hear of Mr. Prime's passing. I was fortunate to see him this past April. He was a favorite teacher of not just mine, but so many of the students that he taught. Condolences to his family. - Posted by: Donna Klassen (Former Student at Stonewall Collegiate) on: Jan 02, 2025

  • Indeed saddened to hear of Mr. Prime’s passing, I have fond memories of his presence at Fisher Branch Collegiate. I remember a tall and truly gentle man with an impish chuckle. I was a part of the squad which he valiantly tried to teach us “real” football, soccer as we knew it. Rest in Peace, Mervyn - Posted by: Dennis Persowich (Former student at Fisher Branch Collegiate Institute (FBCI)) on: Dec 31, 2024
