Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 80 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Virginia; parents, Jose and Filomena; sister-in-law Leonilde; and brother-in-law Antonio.
Jose is survived by his son Mario; sister Maria; brothers, Antonio (Maria), Jorge (Teresa), Dennis (Judy); as well as many nieces, nephews and his dear friend and angel Silvana.
Jose was born in Santa Maria Azores, Portugal in November 1944. He married his wife Virginia and brought his family to Canada in 1971. He was a long-time employee at Atlas Graham Industries in Winnipeg until retirement.
The family especially thank Grace Hospital staff for Jose’s last days of care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with viewing at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Parish, 181 Austin Street N., Winnipeg. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

Peacefully, with family by his side, Jose passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg at age 80 years.
Jose was predeceased by his wife Virginia and is survived by son Mario and dear friend Silvana.
