It is with heavy hearts, we announce Joel’s passing at the tender age of 35.
Joel was a larger than life character and will be sadly missed by his loving family, friend and work network. Joel is survived by his mother Susan Labossiere; father Stan Stubbs; brother Cameron Stubbs; son Dominic Labossiere; daughter Rae-Lynn Hoffman; Crystal Hoffman; auntie Theresa Shaw; uncle Robert Labossiere; uncle Ed Labossiere; friend Trisha Fileccia; and many cousins and friends.
Joel lived his life in Winnipeg and grew up in Lord Roberts and the Riverview area. He attended Churchill High School and finished his grade 12 at Argyle Alternative. He received his Sales and Marketing diploma from RRC Polytech and contributed his expertise to Handy Man Connection, Weed-Man, POS Systems, Christie’s Office Supplies, ProTELEC Alarms and most recently Rent-All Super Store.
Joel can be remembered for his love of the outdoors, boxing, beautiful clothes, especially shoes. He had a hearty laugh, deep voice and big ears for anyone wishing to talk the talk.
We want to thank those services and individuals therein who supported Joel through his journey: Manitoba government MOST program, Main Street Project, Klinic, Methadone program and Addictions services etc.
In Joel’s honour donations can be made to Pan Am Place, visit panamplace.com “Get in Our Corner”. The struggle is real.
