PERE JEAN-PAUL ISABELLE, OMI
Paisiblement, Père Jean-Paul Isabelle, omi, est décédé le jeudi 16 janvier 2025 à la Résidence Despins, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Il avait 92 ans.
En plus de sa famille religieuse, il laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces. L’ont précédé dans la tombe ses parents Léon et Aline Isabelle (née Préfontaine), son frère Laurent et sa soeur Sr Thérèse Isabelle, s.g.m.
La messe de funérailles du père Jean-Paul aura lieu le jeudi 23 janvier 2025 à 14h00 à la chapelle de la Résidence Despins au 151, rue Despins. Visionnement du corps à partir de 13h30.
L’enterrement des cendres aura lieu le lundi 3 février 2025 au cimetière de Saint-Boniface.

Peacefully, Father Jean-Paul Isabelle, OMI, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Despins Residence, Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was 92 years old.
Besides his religious family, he leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Léon and Aline Isabelle (née Préfontaine), his brother Laurent and his sister Sr. Thérèse Isabelle, s.g.m.
The Funeral Mass for Father Jean-Paul will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Despins Residence Chapel at 151 Despins Street. Viewing will start at 1:30 p.m.
The burial of ashes will take place on February 3, 2025, in St. Boniface Cemetery.

No mention of the years Father Isabelle spent at the Seine River School Division. I met him first when he was a guidance counsellor while attending junior high in St. Adolphe. He was then principal when I went to high school in St. Norbert a couple of years later. I remember him fondly as a kind, caring man with a sense of humour that could withstand being a high school principal.
