Joanne was a beautiful soul, always willing to help out. I worked with her in media and have fond memories sharing stories at the news desk with her. Even after we stopped working together, we stayed in touch and I reached out to her for stories and ideas for the show she worked on. She never said no and was always so accommodating. Joanne, thank you, and I miss you. Rest easy. - Posted by: Chris (Coworker) on: Jan 27, 2025

I had the wonderful pleasure of knowing her as a fellow St. Mary’s Academy student albeit a couple years ahead of me and then as adults in our chosen professions. Her spirit was the same now as when I knew her then. So funny, humble, protective of her family and circle, and loyal. Joanne, you were such a beautiful light. I loved every moment we spent together laughing, making magic for your audience, yapping about our kids and just being mamas. You’re a doll and your beautiful boys should be so proud they are yours 💜💜 XO - Posted by: Susie Parker (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2025

There was a time where every day after work, rain or shine we would all meet up at Legends for drinks. We would stay until closing, playing drinking games, solving world problems and spending time with friends. It was a simpler time and Jo was a big part of it. She will be missed but the memories will always be there. - Posted by: Kerry & Stephanie (Friends) on: Jan 25, 2025

I’m so sorry for your loss. Jasper and Keegan, I don’t need to tell you what a firecracker, your mom was—her sense of humour was legendary as was her kindness. We first met when I worked at CJOB and she was at 97.5. We hit it off instantly. Time passed and we reconnected again when Jasper and my son were in kindergarten together and Keegan and my daughter are the same age. We always had great conversations about you kids. She was so proud of you both. I always enjoyed working with her, and I also looked forward to telling her a joke that would garner that well-known laugh that she had. It was infectious. My condolences to you and your entire family. Eleanor - Posted by: Eleanor Coopsammy (Friend) on: Jan 25, 2025

Josie was a fierce friend, woman and mom. She loved with all her heart and was always there if you needed her. She was full of adventure, funny, kind, talented and so very beautiful, both inside and out. And she was the most amazing mom. She will be missed more than words can say. Thoughts and prayers and lots of love to her mom, dad, brothers and sister, Brian, and especially her sweet boys, who she loved beyond compare. Miss you and love you Josie, to the moon and back. - Posted by: Colleen (Friend) on: Jan 25, 2025
