With great sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of Jake Krahn.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Rita Krahn, his wife. Leaving to cherish his memory are his four children: Carl (Tara), Rob (Dolores), Curt (Karen), Andrew (Terri); his 10 grandchildren: Ashley (Aneil), Tyler (Megan), Bradyn, Kayla (Steven), Jami (Shawn), Dallas (Brooke), Hunter, Rowan, Paige, Ella; and his six great-grandchildren: Daya and Kaius, Ashton and Hudson, Ziggy and Ada. Jake will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Henry Krahn, his sister Anne Peters, his sister-in-law Renate Schulz (Bill) and his brother-in-law Walter Hildebrandt (Terry). He was predeceased by his parents, David and Maria Krahn, and his sisters, Lena and Maria. The love of his life, Rita Krahn his wife, passed away on November 20, 2019; a reunion that has been over five years in the making.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street, Winnipeg.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss, and are thinking of you as you go through the grieving process; so bittersweet even though a person has reached a rather “ripe old age”. Bitter—because we will never see him again in this life, and sweet—to know all suffering and sadness is over for him, as is the picture of him being reunited with Rita and in the presence of the One who loves him the most. Our deepest sympathies go out to you all….. as well as our regrets that we won’t be able to attend the service because we away on vacation at that time.
