DIANNE VICTORIA TURNER

(nee JASKA)

May 23, 1946 – January 20, 2025

Dianne Turner passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.

Born and raised in Brandon, MB, Dianne was the youngest of 5 siblings to parents John and Stella. A determined and resilient individual, she was a polio survivor who never let challenges define her.

Dianne attended Vincent Massey High School and Wheat City Business College before beginning her career in office administration. She worked at Jaska Construction before becoming the office manager and owner of Turner Excavation, alongside her husband Ken. A dedicated volunteer, Dianne gave her time to the libraries at both George Fitton and Kirkaldy Heights schools.

Dianne had a passion for gardening, tending to both vegetables and flowers with care. She was an avid NASCAR fan, attending the Daytona 500 for over 20 years, and loved late-model dirt racing. Her adventurous spirit took her across North America and beyond, traveling to Hawaii, Mexico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Arizona, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Dianne was predeceased by her parents, John and Stella Jaska; brother-in-law, Paul Olekswik; and niece, Barbara Olekswik.

Dianne will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ken; son, Dale; daughter, Tammy; siblings, Irene Olekswik, Donald (Judy) Jaska, June (Arnie) Pettersson, Bob (Chris) Jaska; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A private graveside service took place at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium. Brian Moore, Nephew was urn bearer.
