KATHERINE LETKEMANN

(A.K.A. KATHY REDEKOPP)

June 6, 1955 - February 5, 2025


With heavy hearts, we announce that Kathy passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 69, after a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer.

She is survived by her husband Tim; children, Elizabeth (Matthew), Andrew (Candice), Christina (James); seven adored grandchildren; and siblings, David (Susan), Tim (Kate), Ted (Joy), Helen. She is predeceased by her parents, Jake and Tina; and brother-in-law Arnie. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.

Kathy was a much-loved teacher and contributed to her church and local community in countless ways throughout her life. In recent years, she was enjoying a zest for life, and was looking forward to many more adventures in the beloved Westfalia.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 17, at Bethel Mennonite Church.

  • Tim - I was the previous maintenance man that you took over from and I knew Kathy from many work functions. The one that has the most memory for me was a Charlie Brown Christmas play that we did one year. Kathy was the most organized in that play and without her it would have not been a success.   • I was very, very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom and sister. I haven’t touched base with her for a while since we moved but this was heart breaking as she was such a giving person. May God bless you and fold his arms around you in this your sorrow time as you lay your loved one to rest. I will always remember her for the support she showed me and her non judgement. The last time I went to visit her there was tears of happiness that we were able to share from our life.
