Elena Klimovskay passed away suddenly on February 11, 2025, at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 72.
Elena is survived by her husband Mihael Klimovsky; daughters, Kira and Alexsandra; loving grandchildren, and extended family. Elena leaves behind brother Yuri and sister Nina who live in Ukraine.
Elena was born on October 22, 1952, in Cherkasy, Ukraine. Currently retired but worked for many years at Vansko-Parker Industries. Elena also worked as a childcare provider in Israel and helped raise many kids.
Elena married Michael on October 13, 1984, in Ukraine. Elena’s sister-in-law Yulia who resides in Boston, Massachusetts, USA still remembers the beautiful wedding. Mom loved cooking especially baking, flowers and a good romantic movie. Mom kept her homeland Ukraine in her prayers and thoughts daily and was very troubled by the war.
The family especially thanks the paramedics who helped, and doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital; as well as appreciates all the prayers and love that everyone has showed. Mom brought light to everything she touched. She is already dearly missed and may you rest in peace mommy.
The family opted for a small, private funeral with an Orthodox priest.
