Gary Thomas Harvatt passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.
Gary was born on April 23, 1950, to Thomas and Mary Harvatt. He grew up in the Lenore area as well as the town of Virden. After high school Gary went on to obtain his power engineering certificate. He then worked for the city of Brandon at the water treatment plant for 30 plus years.
Throughout this time, Gary was a leader in scouts for many years as well as a member of CASARA group for a short time. He also liked to keep busy by golfing and fishing, but he especially enjoyed wood working.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ronna; son Darren and wife Jaime; granddaughters Emily and Isabelle; sister Fern and her family; sisters-in-law Linda, Betty, and Gayleen and their families.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary (nee Jordan) Harvatt.
A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at a later date.
